This function takes the locations of assembly objects and writes them out to an xml file. In lighting, after the animation cache and the assembly cache are brought into the scene, the apply_asm_publish_data() function is called to move the assembly cache to the recorded locations from animation. This saves time for animation publishing. Because we only need to cache the assembly once, the animators are able to cache their shots without the assemblies to save time for multiple caches.
